Everyone has the same access to the same opportunities.

Promotes inclusion

Human rights and equality laws make discrimination illegal. This encourages respect for diversity and living together peacefully.

Social equality means everyone has access to education, health care, shelter and basic needs such as food and water and it ensures everyone has a quality of life.

Reduces disadvantage

Social equality reduces the possibility of certain individuals/minority groups becoming disadvantaged in society.
