Some of the ways that a young person can influence change to bring about benefits to society include:
Buying fair trade coffee and chocolate so that farmers in the countries these came from get a fair price for the product.
Holding fundraising events to raise awareness of human rights abuses and social injustices happening.
Reporting abuses to the police to bring an end to the abuses and ensure everyone in society is treated fairly.
Join a Youth Council or become a member of the UK Youth Parliament so that they are in a position to discuss issues of importance to them
Lobby their local MLA or MP to highlight issues that are happening and try to bring about a change.
