Employers need to trust that their employees are going to turn up for work when they are supposed to. If there are members of staff that do not turn up for work or are poor attenders then this could have a detrimental effect on the business.
In what ways?
Production may be slowed down so therefore the business may be unable to meet the required deadlines and this could have an impact on clients returning to the business as they will have been let down and lost trust in the business.
The business may suffer a loss of profits because projects or orders are not being completed by the skilled personnel.
When employees don't turn up for training events, updated training programmes for all staff may need to be rescheduled so that workers are skilled in as many areas as possible and this could cost the business money for the training programmes.
